Come face to face with a family of endangered mountain gorillas as they feed, play and groom just a few feet away from you with our thrilling Uganda gorilla trekking safari. Take treks through ancient rainforest, led by experienced professional guides, in search of elephant, chimpanzee and baboon. Before winding up with discovering the African secrets in the Karamoja region in north-eastern Uganda to the stunning semi-arid landscapes of the most ragged Savannah Kidepo Valley National Park famous for its Mountain Morungole and the transecting Kidepo and Narus rivers.

Look, Kidepo Valley National Park is already famous for its long seasonal Kidepo River and the Narus River flowing in the north western part feeding the game, with the Narus Valley being a remedy to spot the lions that most often sit on the Valleys various rocks normally seen either on the morning and late afternoon game drives. The valley is also a fountain of Kidepo unending adventures, it features the African elephants, duikers, jackals, Wildpigs, Leopards, spotted hyenas, bat-eared foxes, Rothschild’s giraffes, cheetahs, wild dogs, elephants among others.

Day 1- Fly from Entebbe to Bwindi National park

Flying from Entebbe to the Rift Valley, you’ll drive into the heart of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. This dense swathe of mountainous rainforest is a haven of biodiversity. The rich habitat here harbors chimpanzee, baboon, elephant and some 300 bird species, For most visitors the park’s population of endangered mountain gorilla is understandably the main attraction dinner at

Day 2- Gorilla trek and transfer to Kisoro

Over the next few days, experienced and knowledgeable guides lead you out into the rain-forest in search of gorilla families. You’ll be mesmerized by these immensely powerful, yet surprisingly graceful, primates. Watch silently through parted leaves as they feed and groom each other, just a short distance away from you. With the family’s babies playing in the undergrowth the dominant silverback male keeps a careful eye out. But no-one could be watching more intently than you. Afterwards transfer to Kisoro for dinner and overnight.

Day 3- Second gorilla trek in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Over the next few days, experienced and knowledgeable guides lead you out into the rain-forest in search of gorilla families. Day 4- Fly back to Kasese

Wake up early in the morning, have your breakfast, end your stay in the “Land of the Mountain Gorillas” and depart with great memories of the moments spent with the fascinating Mountain Gorillas. Transfer to Kihihi airfield to fly back to Kasese Airstrip where you will be picked and transferred to Kibale Forest National Park, dinner and overnight at.

Day 5- Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi Swamp walk

You will, after breakfast, head to Kibale Forest with our packed lunch to view the primates. The activity begins at 8.00am with a briefing of the rule for trekking the chimpanzees after which you set off to search for them in the forest. The exercise takes half a day and along the way you will see other primates such as Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Phoestes, Red-Colobus and the Blue tailed and the Red-tailed monkeys swinging in the branches of this thick forest. Your guide will give you informative briefings on the lifestyles of the primates you will be coming across and, on the plants, as well as on the insects and butterflies in this forest to ensure that the trek is not only enjoyable but informative as well, Kibale Forest National Park, it boasts the highest number of primate species in the world, including the chimpanzees. Approximately 5,000 chimpanzees live in the wild in Uganda, which makes it a perfect place to spot them! An experienced ranger will take you chimp tracking in the morning. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will spend one hour with them, after get back to your respective hotel for lunch, Post Lunch you will be taken for Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary walk. This is a guided swamp walk that takes you closer seeing primates mostly monkeys, birds and butterflies. The wetland is a bird paradise with about 138 species and is best known for being home to the Great Blue Turaco.

This is a 2½ – 3 hour walk and is a must for bird lovers. The walk is almost as popular as the Kibale Forest Walk. You will need good walking shoes since part of the walk is sometimes muddy. Hopefully you will spot the elusive Sitatunga antelope and the Shoebill Stork. This is nothing to be missed. You will meet some of the primates here, even a chimpanzee at times. Other primate species include the black-and-white colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed, l’Hoest’s and blue monkeys, and olive baboons. Also, Bushbucks and mongooses and many more can also be found here. There is also an abundance of butterflies. Bigodi Sanctuary is located outside the park in Magombe Swamp. dinner and an overnight at:

Day 6- Second Chimpanzee tracking

Day 7- Transfer to Kasese Airstrip to fly to Entebbe

After breakfast you will be transferred to the Airstrip to fly Entebbe, you will arrive in the afternoon and then you will be picked and transferred to you’ Hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 8- Fly from Entebbe Airport to Kidepo valley national park

You will be picked up from your hotel by our Professional Safari guide after your breakfast, drive along the arterial Entebbe Express Highway to Entebbe International Port to catch up with your flight. Arrive at Kidepo Airport in the Northern Region Uganda in Lomej Village, Kaabong district. This is just 3 kilometres south of the Park headquarters.

Arrive at your Hotel, check in and sit down for sinner, enjoy your lunch and prepare for your evening game drive. The evening insights are adventurous as you watch the old lone tree firmly twisting and turning to withstand nature’s harsh calamities, and this is where the hunters roam the Open savannah. Four of the Big five Africa are present in Kidepo Valley National Park (Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffaloes). You will encounter hundreds of wildlife in the game. Retire back to your hotel for your dinner and overnight.

Day 9-  Morning Game drive, Evening Game drive in Kidepo Valley National Park

The early game Morning breeze has a lot to offer, the Savannah Sounds are breath taking, drive to the Narus Valley. Narus is a name given by the Ketebo or Mening and Amening Clans, these were the people living in the here. From its historical views to the fountain of wildlife, you will spot at herds of Buffaloes, Elephants, Wild dogs, Hyenas and may more. Narus Valley contains the park’s only permanent water drinking points and most of the wildlife congregate in this area for much of the year. For birders it’s an exclusive destination for Birding Safaris in Kidepo Valley National Park due to the boggy Swamps that attract alot of water loving birds like the rare shoebill which is the most loved to sight at.

Day 10- Visit Karamajong Communities, Cultural Visits and Re treat back to Kampala

For one to be a Karamajong, it takes more than just Skin, in most cases their culture defines everything, and it encompasses their way of life, with their choices of Songs and dances, jumping higher in the sky, it bonds you to Africa. Don’t be afraid if a person with white skin or colored is actually more Ugandan or African than yourself. It takes desire and love to stand with Culture.

Early morning after your breakfast, you will transfer to the Karamajong societies an ethnic group of agro-pastoral herders living in a semi-arid area, their main livelihood activity of the Karamojong is herding livestock and this has a significant social and cultural importance. Bond love with these locals s you participate in their traditional dances, Visit their Homesteads also known as Karamajong Manyattas, you will be guided through with our Safari guide to learn about how they live and Perfom their daily activities, how about meeting their Karamajong King? Afterwards you will be transferred to the Airstrip to fly back to Entebbe.
