Spanning over 11 days, this Uganda tour is a spectacular choice to cover almost everything that the country has to offer. The glorious Bwindi National Park Which Is renowned for its gorilla tracking, gives you an experience of a lifetime as you watch these majestic beasts at close range. The second largest park in Uganda is the Queen Elizabeth National Park. With plenty of wildlife, birds and an enchanting scenery of the snow-capped Rwenzori mountains, it is bound to leave you in awe. At Murchison Falls National Park, lose yourself as you watch the dauntless White Nile explode through a narrow gorge from an outlet of the Lake Victoria and collapse into a mystifying wall of mist, blushing with the hues of the rainbow and drenching you with awe The Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary allows you to witness the magnificent rhinos in the wilderness for a couple of hours. Consisting of game drives and boat cruises along the Kazinga channel, the adventure wraps up at Kibale National Park after a chimpanzee tracking activity.

Day 1- Entebbe Zoo Tour and Kampala City tour

Your 1-day tour to Entebbe zoo starts early in the morning with pick up from your place of residence in Entebbe or Kampala-Uganda’s capital. After meeting and greeting, you then embark on the drive to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre in Entebbe.

You arrive at the zoo which is a habitat to wildlife for an amazing experience. Some of the animals you see here include the lion, elephant, cheetah, rhino, camel, chimps. Birds like the ostrich and the rare shoebill stork can be seen at the zoo. Primates like the monkeys are also present at the zoo.

Behind the scenes, the experience will allow you to interact with the animals by getting involved in feeding them. The experience allows you to learn more about their life and how they fit in the general ecosystem in Uganda. Most of the animals in the zoo are animals that were rescued from poachers and others brought to the zoo for educational purposes.

In behind-the-scenes experience, you join the UWEC’s keepers in preparing the animals’ food, then after jumping onto the tractor to move from one exhibit to another while you help feed an amazing array of exotic endangered animals including primates and apes.

Keeper briefings help you get a glimpse of what happens behind the scenes of a rescue center, you can also participate in recording the animal’s behaviors or observe keepers perform daily health checks. The full-day 1 day Entebbe zoo adventure is an amazing experience that will leave you with lots of conservation memories.

After the experience, your driver-guide will transfer you to Kampala. who will brief you about your tour and then depart for Kampala, where we will go for a brief city tour, Visit Owino Market, this is the busiest market in Kampala, which sprawls around the Nakivubo Stadium, near the taxi parks. Here you can find all sorts of goods for sale, but it is most popular with travelers for its wide range of second-hand clothes from Europe, Asia and the USA.

Day 2- Travel to Lake Mburo National Park:

You will depart Entebbe after breakfast for Lake Mburo National Park. The drive takes 4-5 hours with stopovers at areas of tourist attraction such as the Royal Drum makers’ centre and at the Equator for an opportunity to stand in both the northern and southern hemispheres at the same time. You will continue through the Savannah grasslands dotted with human homesteads, banana plantations and several herds of local long horned Ankole cattle endemic to this part of the country. You will have lunch at the lodge reserved for you after which you will go for you will go for an evening game drive through the park in search of plain game like zebra, hippos, crocodiles, eland, antelope, impala and a variety of birds. You will return to you’ lodge for Dinner and overnight at:

Day 3- Transfer from Lake Mburo National Park to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, you will set off for the south western part of the country. Heading to Lake Bunyonyi. This lake is said to be one of the most beautiful places in western Uganda. It is the second deepest lake in Africa [900 meters deep] and also one of the few places in the country where it is considered safe to swim as it is bilharzias free. The landscape around the lake is made up of terraced hills protruding from the water’s edge. Bunyonyi means “place of little birds” and as the name suggests, there is plenty of bird life around the lake. Check in you’ room before taking a canoe ride. Dinner and overnight at:

Day 4- Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, you will set out for a Boat ride at Lake Bunyonyi. This lake is said to be one of the most beautiful places in western Uganda. It is the second deepest lake in Africa [900 meters deep] and also one of the few places in the country where it is considered safe to swim as it is bilharzias free this takes 2 hours, The landscape around the lake is made up of terraced hills protruding from the water’s edge. Bunyonyi means “place of little birds” and as the name suggests, there is plenty of bird life around the lake. You will in the afternoon go for a canoe ride touring different islands in this beautiful lake, swim on the lake or hike to the view point on the hills to see the exceedingly beautiful scenery of this part of the country. Day 5- Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and transfer to Ishasha

After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters where you will be briefed by the guides before you begin the search in the thick Bwindi Forest for the giant gorillas. Bwindi National Park is renowned for its impressive mountain gorillas, although it is unpredictable for how long you will track before finding them since it all depends on their movement. Though the time spent to track down these Gorillas is unpredictable, the thrill of spending time and observing these gentle giant gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome and exciting adventure that will leave you with long lasting memories of a truly unique experience. Return for lunch you will transfer to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will reach late evening Dinner and overnight at:

Day 6- Game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

After your breakfast you will be taken to Ishasha, famous for the tree climbing lions lounging in the tree branches while keeping a close eye on herds of Uganda kob, their favorite prey. You could have a chance to spot some tree climbing lions after proceed to you’ lodge, In the afternoon you will take a launch cruise along the amazing Kazinga channel to see, at close range, the water animals to include Hippos, Buffalos, Crocodiles and elephants bathing on the channel banks. There is also a variety of bird species on the water banks especially the famous Shoebill, pelican and Jacana. Dinner and overnight at:

Day 7- Morning game drive and transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast you will go for a brief morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth then head to the scenic Explosion Craters and Explosion Crater Lakes along the Western Ugandan Explosion Crater Lake Trail are one of the Pearls in the Pearl of Africa, have you’ lunch en-routes after transfer to Kibale National Park check in at your lodge for some rest, dinner and overnight at :

Day 8- Chimpanzee Tracking and Cycling in the Crater Lakes

You will, after breakfast, head to Kibale Forest with our packed lunch to view the primates. The activity begins at 8.00am with a briefing of the rule for trekking the chimpanzees after which you set off to search for them in the forest. The exercise takes half a day and along the way you will see other primates such as Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Phoestes, Red-Colobus and the Blue tailed and the Red-tailed monkeys swinging in the braches of this thick forest. Your guide will give you informative briefings on the lifestyles of the primates you will be coming across and on the plants as well as on the insects and butterflies in this forest to ensure that the trek is not only enjoyable but informative as well, Kibale Forest National Park, it boasts the highest number of primate species in the world, including the chimpanzees. Approximately 5,000 chimpanzees live in the wild in Uganda, which makes it a perfect place to spot them! An experienced ranger will take you chimp tracking in the morning. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will spend one hour with them, after get back to your respective hotel for lunch, Post Lunch you will go for cycling in the craters lakes, Visit the different crater lakes, tea plantations and hike to the “Top of the world” – A magical experience with incredible views of the distant horizons and Kibale Forest. This experience is comparable to none and very photogenic. Please carry your camera for amazing photos. Dinner and an overnight at:

Day 9- Transfer to Murchison falls National Park

After breakfast you will be transferred to Murchison Falls National Park which will take around 7/8 hours of drive, Head straight to tour the Top and bottom of majestic falls, where the Nile crashes through a 7 metres gorge to the falls 45 metres. Numerous scenic viewpoints are a photographers’ delight, the most impressive view of the foaming waters rushing into the gorge with a deafening roar, you will have dinner and overnight at:

Day 10- Game drive and Launch cruise in Murchison falls National Park

You will set off at 6:30 am cross to the northern bank of river Nile head for a sunrise game drive in the Nyamsika plateau to see the Cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, Uganda kob, hartebeest and waterbucks. You may also spot oribi, bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, shy sitatunga, bush duiker, warthog and bush pig plus large carnivores including lions, leopards and spotted hyenas. Chimpanzees and olive baboons head the list of six species of primates found in the park. Crocodiles and hippos will be seen along the banks of the Nile. Some of the more common birds that can be seen include goliath heron, Egyptian geese, pelican, bee- eaters, kingfishers, hornbill, cormorant, saddle-bill stork and the rare shoebill stork. You will return to your lodge for a late breakfast and some relaxation before setting off in the afternoon for a boat cruise on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the falls. En route you will see hippos, crocodiles, water buck and a wide variety of birds including the unusual shoebill stork. The boat stops just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron” for pictures to be taken of the photogenic and majestic Murchison Falls. You will disembark at the base of the waterfall, and a guide will lead you through the well-marked trail to the top of the waterfall.

Depending on your levels of physical fitness, the hike will take around 45 minutes and although the walk isn’t particularly arduous, guests will need to be prepared with sensible walking shoes and clothing.

Enjoy spectacular views, experience the cooling sensation of the gentle spray and listen to the crashing of the water as you make your way to the top. From this vantage point, you will see the powerful, churning waters force through a narrow gorge before dropping to the depths below.

If you enjoy history, you may be interested to learn that you are following in the footsteps of Winston Churchill and the explorer Samuel Baker, who also explored the area around the waterfall. The 1951 film ‘The African Queen’ starring Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn, was filmed at Murchison Falls.

Day 11- Rhino tracking in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and transfer to Entebbe/Kampala

After an early morning breakfast, depart with great memories of the moments spent at Murchison falls, you will be driven to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, after a briefing from the ranger you trek the sanctuary for close to two hours. Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe with lunch en-route.
