Mountain gorilla tracking in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a habitat with a minimum of 400 mountain gorillas which is close to a half of the 880 numbers that are known to thrive in the world. The gorilla destination of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is also a rich habitat for Afro-montane flora, counts of birds including the African broad-bill which is found in Ruhija and Congo, the forest animals like duikers and forest elephants. The magical hills offer impressive scenery and sightseeing experience. The recreation encounter on Lake Bunyonyi known as the Lake of a thousand Islands because of its 29 Islands presents moments of rejuvenation following a day long gorilla trekking experience.

Day 1- DRIVE TO UGANDA – BWINDI

Breakfast drive to the northern Rwanda for a visit of the Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Enjoy a sumptuous lake fish lunch here and head to the view point where you will be able to see the two lakes and the entire beautiful scenery of the Five Volcanic Mountains stretching all the way to Congo DRC borders.

The three Countries: – Rwanda, Uganda and Congo DRC meet at the tip of the Sabyinyo peak. Take nice” photos and continue on to Cyanika border and cross over to Uganda. Drive through Kisoro town and head to Bwindi for dinner and overnight at

Day 2-Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early morning breakfast, walk to the park headquarters for briefing on the do’s and don’ts during gorilla tracking and thereafter you will proceed to the gorilla trail. Gorilla tracking normally lasts between 2 to 8 hours or even a day to encounter the gorillas. However, you will be allowed to stay in the presence of these awesome apes for at least an hour. It is advisable that you carry packed lunch, which will be provided, as one cannot determine how long it may take to encounter the mountain gorillas. Later transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, The drive will be through a beautiful part of the country often referred to as ‘the Switzerland of Africa’ because of its unique cool weather despite being near the Equator. This lake is said to be one of the most beautiful places in western Uganda. It is the second deepest lake in Africa [900 meters deep] and also one of the few places in the country where it is considered safe to swim as it is bilharzias free. Dinner and overnight will be at:

Day 3 -Transfer to Kigali Airport to fly out

After an early morning breakfast, you will take a boat ride on this lake tour different islands, before we head to another border this time Katuna border to cross to Rwanda, upon reaching will do a short Kigali City tour starting off with Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre visit. Checking different City landmarks and craft markets, thereafter be transferred to Kigali Airport to catch you’ departure flight back home.
