This 4-day gorilla trek safari takes you to the misty Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, which is home to more than half the population of the remaining 720 Mountain Gorillas. The forests of Bwindi Impenetrable offer a unique opportunity to tourists for have a rich birding, cultural, and trekking experience. The surrounding scenery of alluring hills and the lush green vegetation where the elusive primates reside is stunning. The gorilla trek activity is the most enchanting experience in this forest. You will have an experience of a life time watching at close range these majestic apes as they feed, play and relax.

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport you will be met by our safari guide who will transfer you to Kampala to a hotel booked for you. In case you have had an early flight to Uganda, you will be taken on a brief tour of the city of Kampala. And you’ll be briefed about tomorrows journey start on the Gorilla Tracking and Kibale Chimps trek safari Dinner overnight at Ministers’ Village Hotel (Meal plan Bed and Breakfast)
Day 2: Travel to Bwindi
You will after breakfast set off for an 8-9 hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in the south western part of the country. You’ll be stopping over at a place near the equator and you’ll be standing in two hemispheres simultaneously. Another stopover will be made en route to Bwindi Impenetrable for lunch. Dinner and overnight at Cephas Inn or White House Inn or Broadbill Forest Camp as per your preference.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
You will have an early morning breakfast and move to the Park headquarters to join other trackers in a briefing about the gorilla trekking rules at 7:45 am. The trekking journey will progress through thick creepers and undergrowth which can go on up to 8 straight hours. The forest range is incredibly dense but is crisscrossed by animal trails which enable better access to tourists. After spending few hours with the gorilla troops, you’ll be taken to Lake Bunyonyi. You’ll drive through one of the most beautiful sections of the country referred to as “The Switzerland of Africa” because of the unique cool environment despite being located near to the equator. The lake is known to be one of the most beautiful places in western Uganda and is the second deepest lake in Africa. As the lake is bilharzisas-free, it is safe for swimming purposes. Dinner and overnight will be at Cephas Inn/White Horse Inn/Broadbill Forest Camp.
Day 4: Travel back to Kampala
Wake up early in the morning, have your breakfast, end your stay in the “Land of the Mountain Gorillas” and depart with great memories of the moments spent with the fascinating Mountain Gorillas. Transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route, then proceed to Entebbe Airport where you will catch your flight back home.
