The forests are inhabited by the elusive primates. Tracking the gorillas is perhaps the most enchanting experience in this forest. Day 1: Airport Pickup
You will be met by East African Jungle Safaris’ representative at Entebbe International Airport and be transferred to Ministers’ Village Hotel in Kampala.
Day 2: Travel to Bwindi
You will after breakfast set off for an 8-9 hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in the south western part of the country. You’ll be stopping over at a place near the equator and you’ll be standing in two hemispheres simultaneously. Another stopover will be made en route to Bwindi Impenetrable for lunch. Dinner and overnight will be at Cephas Inn/White Horse Inn/Broadbill Forest Camp
Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and Lake Bunyonyi tour
After an early morning breakfast, you’ll move to the park headquarters where you’ll be joined by other trackers and receive a briefing about the gorilla tracking rules. The trekking journey will progress through thick creepers and undergrowth and it can take somewhere between 1 to 8 hours to spot the gorillas depending upon their location. The steeply forested area is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by animal trails which somewhat ease the process. Because of conservation purposes, up to one hour of stay with the gorilla family is permitted. After that, you’ll be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi through a scenically beautiful territory which is unofficially referred to as “The Switzerland of Africa.” Lake Bunyonyi which is the second deepest lake in Africa with an depth of 900 meters is among the most beautiful places in western Uganda. The lake is bilharzisas-free which makes it safe for swimming. Dinner and overnight will be at Cephas Inn/White Horse Inn/Broadbill Forest Camp
Day 4: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Wake –up early morning have your break-fast set-off to lake Mburo national park it takes 5/7hours driving you have your lunch en-route in Mbarara then later proceed to Mburo for your dinner and overnight
Day 5: Game drive and boat cruise
Wake up early morning have breakfast set off for an early morning Game Drive where you will enjoy so many species of animals that are found in the L Mburo which are not found anywhere in other National Parks like Defasa, Elande, Zebras, Uganda Kobs, Impala, Gazelles and so many more. It takes you like 4/5hours. After come back for your lunch relax for few minutes then proceed for the unique boat. Lake Mburo National Park, It’s a very special place every part of it is alive with variety, interest and color. It contains an extensive area of Wetland and so harbors several species of Mammals and birds found nowhere else in Uganda its sculptured landscape, with rolling hills and idyllic Lake Shores has a varied mosaic of habitats, Forest galleries, seasonal and permanent Swamps and rich acacia woodland ,and grassy valley which all support a wealth of wildlife. It lies in the rain shadow between Lake Victoria and Rwenzori Mount at the same time its near the Equator the rainfall pattern is bimodal with the long rains occurring comeback for your dinner and overnight at
Day 6: Another game drive then Travel back to Kampala
Wake up early in the morning, have your breakfast, go another game drive before Transferring back to Kampala with lunch en-route, Dinner and Overnight at Ministers’ Village Hotel
Day 7: Transfer to Entebbe Airport
Check out head to Kampala City for some craft and souvenir shopping before proceeding to Entebbe Airport where you will catch your flight back home.
