This 6 Days Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth & Kibale Safari takes you through the country’s spectacular western circuit, combining mountain gorilla trekking, classic savannah safaris, a scenic Kazinga Channel boat cruise, and unforgettable chimpanzee trekking. 6 Days Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth & Kibale Safari Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your safari begins with a 7:00 am pickup from Entebbe by your professional driver-guide. Drive west through Uganda’s countryside with stops at Mpambire Drum Makers and the Equator for photos. Continue via Mbarara, enjoying views of rolling hills, cattle farms, and terraced landscapes.
Arrive at Bwindi in the evening, check in at your lodge, relax, and prepare for the gorilla trek the next day.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Community Experience – Bwindi

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. At 8:00 am, begin your mountain gorilla trek through the dense rainforest. Trekking can take 2–8 hours, depending on the gorilla family’s location.
Once you find the gorillas, you will spend one magical hour observing them in their natural habitat.
In the afternoon, return to the lodge to relax, then later enjoy a Batwa community walk, learning about the culture and traditions of the forest’s indigenous people.

Day 3: Bwindi – Ishasha Sector – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the Ishasha sector, renowned for its tree-climbing lions. Along the way, look out for elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and abundant birdlife.
Arrive at your lodge for lunch, followed by a late afternoon game drive in the park.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Start the day with an early morning game drive, the best time to spot predators and other wildlife such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, and Uganda kobs.
After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, one of Uganda’s highlights. The channel is home to large numbers of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and numerous bird species including malachite kingfishers and pink-backed pelicans.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Game Drive, Baboon Cliff – Transfer to Kibale Forest

Enjoy breakfast, followed by another morning game drive and a visit to Baboon Cliff, offering panoramic views of the park’s crater lakes and open plains.
After lunch, drive to Kibale Forest National Park (approx. 2–3 hours), arriving in the evening.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking – Return to Entebbe

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a chimpanzee trekking briefing. Begin trekking around 8:00 am, guided by an armed ranger.
During the trek, you may also encounter grey-cheeked mangabeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, bush babies, and a variety of birds.
After the trek, drive back to Kampala/Entebbe via Mubende, stopping for lunch en route. You will be dropped off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight.
