Detailed 8 Days Gorillas & Kenya Wildlife Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Kibale National Park
Your driver guide will pick you up and drive you to Kibale National Park where your 8 Days Gorillas & Wildlife Safari starts. The drive to Kibale National Park takes about 5 hours through the scenic countryside, passing through some popular towns like Mityana, and Kyejonjo. You’ll arrive in the afternoon and proceed to your booked safari lodge.
Check-in at your lodge and have lunch at your lodge. After lunch, you can go for an optional tour to the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking at Kibale National Park
Starting the first primate adventure on this classic 8 Days Uganda & Kenya Wildlife Safari. After breakfast, head to the park headquarters where you will join other trekkers for a chimpanzee trekking briefing session. You will be guided on how to carry out your trek successfully, safety measures, and the dos and don’ts during the trek.
After the briefing, follow your ranger guide into the forest to search for the chimpanzees. After a long walk in the forest, you will finally meet these primates in the jungle and get the chance to watch them for about 1 hour. Although not as famous as mountain gorillas, meeting chimpanzees is truly a life-changing experience. Enjoy your time with the primates and take photos for memories.
After the trek, you will return to the starting point or park headquarters where you will meet your guide who will transfer you back to your lodge for a refreshing meal and some relaxation.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early morning breakfast at your lodge, check out and start your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – home to more than half of the endangered mountain gorilla. Arrive at Bwindi in the afternoon and proceed to your booked safari lodge for a sumptuous meal and a relaxing evening stay.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Following your early morning breakfast at the lodge, head to the park headquarters. Meet other guests for a gorilla trekking briefing, where you will receive all the important information about gorilla trekking; including the dos and don’ts for your trek. After the briefing session, you will be assigned a gorilla family to track.
It is time to enter the jungle to search for the endangered gorillas in their natural habitat. Even though the trek can be quite challenging, you are sure to eventually find the gorillas in their natural habitat and this will easily make you forget the effort you went through to reach them. After finding the gorillas, you will spend about one full hour excited and watching the gorillas, with many chances to take photos and videos for memories.
Later after trekking, return to the park headquarters and then continue to your lodge for some relaxation and if you want you can go for a community visit or cultural tour to learn how the locals live and enjoy cultural performances.

Day 5: Transfer back to Entebbe
Wake up and enjoy breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, check out and start driving back to Entebbe. This journey takes about 8 to 9 hours, arrive at Entebbe in the late evening and proceed direct to your booked hotel within Entebbe.

Day 6: Fly to Kenya and transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, transfer to Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight to Kenya. Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where our Kenyan team will warmly welcome you into Kenya. You will then begin your transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey from Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve takes about 4 hours through the beautiful countryside. You will pass through the amazing and scenic Great Rift Valley with a short stop to enjoy the stunning views and optional shopping at the curio shops.
Continue with your journey, making another short stop at Narok Town for refreshments and to use the restrooms before continuing to Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at the lodge in the afternoon and check in.
Spend the rest of the day relaxing, enjoying the lodge facilities before heading out for an exciting introductory game drive in the magnificent Masai Mara National Reserve. After the game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Full day adventure in Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, depart the lodge with your packed lunch boxes for a full-day game-viewing safari in Masai Mara National Reserve. Explore the Mara plains for opportunities to witness wildlife and birdlife. Expect to encounter the African Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, and elephants) giraffes, hyenas, cheetahs, and wildebeests among others.
Explore different wildlife hotspots in the park. As it near lunch time, take a break for a picnic lunch at a scenic and safe spot. After lunch, continue with your safari in the park. Later return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Transfer back to Nairobi and fly back home
After breakfast, you will be driven to Nairobi town for shopping, have lunch in town, and then drive to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your scheduled flight back home.
