Uganda Wildlife Safaris
Although popular for its primates trekking safaris especially mountain gorilla safaris, Uganda is also a remarkable destination when it comes to wildlife viewing. Uganda is home to 10 National Park and 12 National Reserve that host incredible wildlife species all year round. Uganda Wildlife Safaris will take you mostly to the Savanna National Park like Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Kidepo Valley National Park among others. Uganda is home to all the iconic wildlife species including the famous African Big Five (lions, rhinos, elephants, leopards, and buffalos), primate tracking (mountain gorilla safari, chimpanzee trekking and golden monkey experience), other savanna species including giraffes, hyenas, baboons, warthogs, warthogs, and several antelope species among others.
During the Uganda Big Five safari, you’ll have to visit the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary which is the only place where you can see the endangered rhinos in Uganda. Most of the parks in Uganda only host the four of the five with rhinos only seen at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. The four of the Big Fives are found in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kipedo Valley National Park among others. Queen Elizabeth National Park is also home of tree climbing lions, a rare behavior among the cats only seen in this part of the world and Lake Manyara National Park in Tanzania.
Other amazing Uganda wildlife safari destinations include Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the leading place for gorilla trekking tours, Kibale National Park with the highest population of chimpanzees in Africa, and Murchison Falls National Park.
