You will be met by a Frena Adventures guide at the Kigali International airportwho will then welcome you into the country for your 3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking. Depending on the time of arrival, you’ll drive to a fancy restuarant for a hot meal before proceeding with a drive to Musanze. The mountain gorilla trekking in Rwanda is done at Volcanoes National Park.  If time allows, you will visit the two twin Lakes Burera and Ruhondo. Their deep blue waters ringed by steep hills and tall waterfalls, with the outlines of the nearby Virunga Volcanoes, provide a spectacular backdrop.

Detailed 3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kigali and Travel to Ruhengeri

You will be met by a Frena Adentures driver guide at the Kigali International airport, and stop for lunch, then after, drive to Musanze. If time allows, you will visit two twin Lakes Burera and Ruhondo. Their deep blue waters ringed by steep hills and tall waterfalls, with the outlines of the nearby Virunga Volcanoes, provide a spectacular backdrop overnight at Amikus Hotel

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking

After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the National Park headquarters – Kinigi to meet your guides for the day. After completing our park formalities, we are embarking on a once in a life time experience of tracking mountain gorillas. Once you spot them, you are allowed to spend an hour watching your closest long-lost cousin. Return to your hotel for lunch and later maybe visit Ibyiwacu culture village center, then dinner and overnight again at Amikus Hotel

Day 3: Golden Monkeys

After breakfast, you will proceed to the National Park headquarters – Kinigi to meet your guides for Golden Monkeys Trackin,g then after completing your tracks, you will bid your host goodbye and depart for Kigali before dropping you to your preferred drop off point (Hotel or Airport).
