This 5 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking is a 5 days Tour that takes you to the renowned Volcano National Park home to the endangered mountain gorillas and the elusive golden monkeys. This classic safari tour is designed to allow travellers track mountain gorillas in Rwanda. The Volcanoes National Park is one of the four National Parks in the world where you can witness the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. There are about 10 habituated mountain gorilla families in Volcanoes National Park that visitors can trek each day.

Detailed 5 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kigali

You will be met by Frena Adventure Safaris’ representative at the Kigali International airport, meet and greet, and discuss the safari. You’ll then embark on a drive to  Muhabura/Virunga Hotel, where you’ll spend a night. (Here for your wish, you can choose to sleep in Kigali depending on Time arrived at the airport).

Day 2: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park

Transfer to Volcanoes National Park after breakfast. In the morning, you must be at the office of RDB at 7:00 for a briefing about the trekking of gorillas done by the Volcanoes National Park’s guides. After you will have lunch at the Hotel.

We encourage for your own enjoyment to make sure that you are perfectly fit and healthy. It is important to bring good hiking boots, long trousers, gloves for protection against stinging nettles, some snacks & as well as sufficient water as the rain forest gets hot and humid during the day. You will spend one hour with the gorillas, but it is an hour you will never forget. Return to your hotel for lunch and later dinner and overnight at Amikus Hotel

Day 3: Visit the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Bulera

Wake up morning, have breakfast, and proceed to Gisenyi. Visit to Twin Lakes Burera and Ruhondo. There are a lot of activities on these twin lakes, like sport fishing, canoeing, and many more, afterwards we proceed to our hotel for our Dinner and overnight at Palm Garden Lodge/Maisons Sifa Hotel.

Day 4: Lake Kivu

Wake up early in the morning after breakfast, you will have a morning boat ride on the lake. You will have a chance to see bird species and different water animals like Hippopotamus, Crocodiles and many more on the lake shore Dinner and overnight at the Palm Garden Lodge/Maisons Sifa Hotel.

Day 5: Gisenyi – Kigali

Pick up at your hotel driver to Kigali, have a Kigali city trip including a visit to the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gizozi, contact with local people for the discovery of artisanal products (Collar, Bracelet, etc), then transfer to Kigali International Airport.
